In the frontal offset test, protection of the head and neck of the 6 year dummy was rated as marginal and the neck of the 10 year dummy as adequate. In the side barrier impact, protection of the head of the 10 year dummy was marginal but that of all other critical body areas was good. The front passenger airbag can be disabled to allow a rearward-facing child restraint to be used in that seating position. Clear information is provided to the driver regarding the status of the airbag and the system was rewarded. All of the child restraint types for which the Fabia is designed could be properly installed and accommodated in the car.

The bonnet provided predominantly good or adequate protection over its surface, with poor results recorded at the base of the windscreen and on the stiff windscreen pillars. the bumper provided good protection to pedestrians' legs at all test points. Protection of the pelvis was also good or adequate over the width of the vehicle. The autonomous emergency braking system of the Fabia can detect vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists, as well as other vehicles. The system performed adequately in tests of its response to such road-users, with collisions avoided or mitigated in most cases.

The Fabia has a seatbelt reminder system, including occupant detection, for the front and rear seats. ‘Driver Alert’ monitors steering inputs to detect behaviour characteristic of fatigued driving and advises the driver to rest when necessary. The lane support system gently corrects the vehicle's path when it is drifting out of lane and also intervenes in some more critical situations to stop the car from leaving the road, for example. A driver-set speed limiter is fitted as standard. A speed limit information function is available as an option but is not included in this assessment. The AEB system performed adequately in tests of its reaction to other cars.

The passenger compartment of the Fabia remained stable in the frontal offset test. Dummy numbers showed good protection of the knees and femurs of both the driver and passenger. Škoda showed that a similar level of protection would be provided to occupants of different sizes and to those sitting in different positions. Analysis of the deceleration of the impact trolley during the test, and analysis of the deformable barrier after the test, revealed that the Fabia would be a moderately benign impact partner in a frontal collision. In the full-width rigid barrier test, good or adequate protection was provided to all critical body areas of the driver and rear passenger. In both the side barrier test and the more severe side pole impact, protection of all critical body areas was good and the car scored maximum points in this part of the assessment. Limitation of occupant excursion - the extent to which the occupant is flung to the other side of the vehicle in a side impact - was rated as marginal. The Fabia is not equipped with a centre airbag to protect against occupant to occupant injuries in side impacts. Tests on the front seats and head restraints demonstrated good protection against whiplash injuries in the event of a rear-end collision. A geometric analysis of the rear seats also indicated good whiplash protection. The car is equipped with an advanced eCall system which automatically alerts the emergency services in the event of an accident. A multi-collision braking system prevents secondary impacts after the car has been involved in a collision.
