The Tucson scored full points for its performance in the side impact and pole tests.

Child-protection
A rearward-facing child restraint should not be placed in the front passenger seat as the airbag for that seating position cannot be deactivated. Moreover, the label warning against using a rearward-facing childseat in that seating position did not meet Euro NCAP's requirements and did not score any points.

Pedestrian protection
The car scored no points for the protection offered to pedestrians by the bumper or the bonnet leading edge. The protection offered to a child pedestrian's head also scored no points.
