Comments
The manufacturer states that the Peugeot Partner (from VIN 1PM5 : 95189560) is built on the same platform as the Berlingo and shares the same specification.
Front impact
The driver's chest contacted the steering wheel, for which the car was penalised. The passenger's left knee registered higher loads than the driver's knees and was used in the calculation of the adult occupant score. Structures within the dashboard represented a potential hazard to the knees and femurs of both driver and passenger.
Side impact
In the side impact, forces were transferred in an unrealistic manner to the test dummy, reducing the forces recorded by the instrumentation in its chest. The car was penalised for this.
Child-protection
The label warning against using a rearward-facing child restraint in the front passenger's seat was inadequate and was not permanently attached to the vehicle. The presence of the ISOFIX anchorages in the rear seats was not clearly indicated.
Pedestrian protection
The leading edge of the bonnet scored no points for the protection it offered to pedestrians.
